Art Project "The Palestinian Believe" 2008
Project Name: Art Project " The Palestinian Believe "
Place: AZARIA (BETHANY ), Holland (Gouda)
Time: Annually
Project Coordinator’s. Dominique Rozenblad/Ms. Manar Wahhab
The Justification of the Project:
· The fine art is not in the school's curricula and neither taught at local schools.
· The escalation of violence against children, youth and women in our society.
· AL-AZARIA, ABU-DEES & AL-SAWAHRA villages suffer from the suffocating atmosphere and absence of artistic centers, organizations and institutions, which publish, promote, encourage and support young musicians, artist or talented in developing the capacity, skill and handiness Palestinians.
· People are not aware not awake of the importance of arts in the psychology of children, youth and old because it creates beauty, peacefulness, loveliness, nonviolence, safety and affiliation.
· These villages are marginalized and isolated from any artistic and cultural activities such as exhibition, festivals, concerts or shows.
· Building the segregation wall that separated Jerusalem city from its surroundings villages, AL-AZARIAH, ABU-DEES & AL-SAWAHRA cut through the hearts of the one people and not the land alone.
· The Dutch Palestinian joint cooperation will emphasis, consolidate and strengthen the solidarity, intercultural exchange, dialogue and channel of communication.
· Longing, wish for and belief of being active and dynamic as musicians or artist in the Palestinian society is a vital and fundamental.
Idea:
First, Ms. Dominique Rozenblad ( Holland) considerable interest and support for the VCCA mission, objectives, goals, and activities.
Second, the suggested distorted images that the Palestinian people are cruel, savage and the enemies of life, and that of the absence of hope of artists that thirsts to tell their stories, are just the tip of an iceberg of the many other things that increased my faith as Manar Wahhab to go on with this project.
Third, VCCA believed in this dream "to have Palestinian exhibition for youth" which will help to revive hope among the young Palestinian artists, most notably as they see that they are traveling through time and space with their messages of hope for Peace and Justice; an opportunity that is both rare and nearly impossible.
The General Goals:
· The development of talent in the arts and refinement of their experience.
· Forum of Palestinian artist to exchange experiences, share creativity.
· Demonstrate the cultural identity of Palestinians.
